I have been trying out different tube combinations. I had seen posts about people just changing preamp tubes in standby mode, I have been turning the CCV fully off and let the tubes cool down a little while, a couple of minutes. Then swap in different tubes, and let the tubes warm up in...
I heard one in a local music shop a long time ago when they were "Cheaper" I thought it was a great sounding OD pedal, but back then I didn't think it was worth $300. I definitely don't think its worth $1800, when you can get a great sounding amp for that price.
Plus I really only use OD's as...
I finally got around to try out different tubes yersterday/today. I like the chinese tubes I put in over the old tubes, did tighten up things a bit, especially noticeable when chugging on the strings. I didn't notice too much difference between using Ruby HG+ and the Pentalabs in V1. Are the...
One thing I didn't agree with was when he said he didn't change any of the preset settings. I don't think it's fair to expect the presets to sound good with every possible combination of gear used with the AxeFX. He didn't just keep his real amps tone settings as what they were when he...
In the first video he has a patch cable that looks like it is connecting some of the inputs on his Marshall, whats that doing? Sorry don't have a lot of experience with marshall's.
Just put in a pair of Scumback M75's in one of my 2x12 cab's and they sound incredible. I can't believe how good they sound when matched with the Cameron.
Getting some Ruby HG+'s, a Sovtek LPS and some Penta Chinese 9th gens today. Think I'm going to try the HG+ in V1, the Chinese 9's in V2/V3, leave the tungsol in V4, and the LPS in V5.
Probably will try a Chinese 9th in V1 also.

Techflex makes a covering, I used it when I made my own hometheater cables a long time ago, I'd imagine it would work fine with guitar cables.
Just to be clear, when you say Left Side and Right side, your indicating this from looking the back of the amp.
V5 is the tube by itself away from the other 4.
I recently put about 1-inch of foam under the bridge pickup in my JP6 because I felt the pickup was too low for my tastes. With the foam compressed I can raise and lower the pickups a little to adjust the height without the pickups getting wobbly. Anything wrong with doing this? I'm not...
