I am near Detroit and have a rear loaded Bogner Uber cab for sale with two 16 ohm vintage 30s from a 2003 Bogner straight cab + 2 English greenbacks from a marshall cab from the 90s inside of it. It sounds killer and 3d. Basically a Friedman speaker combo but with English speakers.

My 33 sounds best with my dual rec followed by the quickrod then diezel fokker then be100 then a KSR Ares in that order to my ears anyway.

I have one. Phenomenal sounding. Rich, girthy, organic and vocal!

I've tried SED and Sino EL34 tubes as well as 6L6 Bstr and a few others in my Ares. I like the stock tubes the best followed by the SED EL34. I had an orthos but prefer the vocal voicing of the Ares. Be sure to buy direct.There are some shady people out there pawning off used ones as new. Shameless.

Motor City Afwayu. Organic, great harmonics, plenty of gain with a chunky thump and an A5 magnet.

I tried a bunch of DI boxes and liked the Creation Audio Labs MW1, Countryman 85 and a Radial for active bass pickups.

No difference in the construction or wood. The older Bogner wheat grill material is thicker and cuts down on some annoying highs.

I have my Ares sounding real close in thump and dark tonal mids to my quickrod. The Ares is a tad more vocal or COC like in tone but the Splawn has that raw plexi ish thing going on. Keeping both. They are both very mean sounding!
