I'll take your guys word for it. I thought Sykes was still rocking Marshalls on 1987. What I can say for sure is that I got closer to his 87 tone with my cranked up Friedman modded JCM800 than I ever could with any Boogie. In full disclosure, I used the more compressed, modern Boogies. As well...

Shiva, and it isn't close :) Well, it's kind of close, but the Shiva is the clear winner. Sorry to be the contrarian, but as good as the JP2C sounds, it's not a modded Marshall circuit. I will give that Mesa a lot of credit because it can get a lot of great dirt tones with its powerful EQs...

Wow, cool stuff, Chad. Thanks for the comment on the solo in the middle, because it got me to stay with it to that part. Like you, I'm not really into this style, but his lead was pretty cool.

I'm a long time PRS player. When I first picked up their guitars, I found the 10" to be perfect, so no complaints here.
