What effect are you using? The parallel is mainly for time based effects and they should be set to 100% wet. Ideally, the parallel volume is only adjusting the effected return. Sounds like you have some dry mixed in or are running an effect that when added back to the dry signal significantly...
Honestly, it depends on what you're going for. I love both of them. IMHO Fokker is more modern sounding. Einstein is a little more versatile in that you can have a heavy channel and a lead channel, but it's lead channel isn't as good as fokker chan2 for rhythm. So I'd recommend choosing based...
I still use the el34bht. Bstr sounds rubbish and the kt77's sounded lifeless to me. I'll give them another go sometime though.
These are what work in my rig. Different guitars, preamp tubes, eq, pickups, cabs, etc will yield different results.
The Hagen guys are out playing theirs.
Hagen rips. I'm slowly starting to prefer it over the vh4. I will admit I wasn't sold on it at first, but man... 2 years in and I'm still in love. My vh4's are gathering dust. I should retube and crank them up again shortly. Maybe my opinion will change...
Papa. Would these work?

If you get a...
Abstract, why so hard headed? Papa says it will. Why is it so hard for you to believe?
The two grounds on the jacks are likely wired together internally in the amp so yes it will produce a short.
Yes, Diezels are perfect new out of the box. IIRC the tubes are hand selected @ Diezel for each amp.
As far as the list Peter posted: That's the current list. Most of the world does Day, Month, Year which makes more sense if you think about it. From left to right it goes from shortest...
Sometimes crossing speakers defeats the purpose. V30s are always a win with Diezel.
Peter also recommends an eminence. I don't recall which though. Might try a search or maybe he will chime in.
I think your title is very misleading. I wouldn't consider everyone loving the amp to be mixed reviews. Fuzz bomb doesnt sound derragatory either. They are saying if you want mesa get mesa. If you like Diezel tones fokker delivers in spades. If you like herbert get a herbert. Just because...
