You want to post on the Fryette support forum. Email is not being used for support questions like this anymore. They are going to tell your current production KT88 made by anyone is not reliable. That is why they are using 6550.

I don't think it is related but... Celestion told me speakers can handle twice what they are rated. But they won't last very long. I try to use at least double what the amp is rated. I have blown several speakers over the decades.

I'm into gain without a lot of saturation lately. The punch. That with a lot harmonics in phase. Perfect seems like a moving target.
