I liked the sound of it; it doesn't have the typical metal tone that a lot of the guys on the net try to get out of the amp. I think you have a great rock tone there. This is the tone I hope to have when I get mine as well.

Thanks Peter; I will snag one if I decide to get the used VH4; I am now leaning more toward getting a Hagen.

So far, this seems like the one for me. If I can afford it, I might snag one. I want to hear more clips first, once people start receiving them.

It looks like I may be buying a used VH4 that is a bit roadworn. A lot of the lettering on the faceplate is worn away, and I would like to have it look a bit newer. After I purchase the amp, would I be able to buy a faceplate to replace the existing one? Thanks. JT

That is so cool. I am getting rid of my rack unfortunately. I have gigs coming up and few funds to complete the rack to my satisfaction. However, someone may get a deal on a brand new Fish. :)

I am using the Voodoo GCX, which works great for looping effects and switching. Cheap and good quality. As far as the tubes, I am loving the sound with the stock tubes, and I don't find them noisy at all. If someone finds something significantly better, I would be interested too.

Let me know how you like it with the 2502; I've resigned myself to saving the cash to get one of those or A 2:90. Do you love the Cantrell mod? I may have that done to mine eventually.

Man, I am running into a wall cash-wise. Can't afford a new power amp (one channel on the Mosvalve just bit the dust) or a couple of other components I need for the rack. I may end up having to sell the Fish out of necessity; the rack is becoming a money pit, and the band is ready to start...

Thanks. Sounds good, but the more I play with it, the less I like the Shark channel, and the more obvious it becomes that I need a better power amp. Soon.............maybe, LOL.

`Got it about 90 minutes ago, all racked up and played a bit. Great sounds (I actually like the Shark channel too). I am using a Mosvalve 962 for a power amp, and it sounds a little stiff, but I can imagine how much better it will be when I get a good power amp. Having said that, it is bad-ass...

Yep, got it about an hour and a half ago. Man, this thing is bad-ass!!!!!!!!!! I obviously need to dial it in a bit, but so far it sounds really good. I can't wait until I can afford a better power amp too; right now I am using a Mos-Valve 962, and it feels a bit stiff. I can't wait to hear...
