What are you suggesting as the best preamp tubes? I just got a new Herbert-are the tubes you suggest also the ones that would be installed in your amps currently?

OK. The Decimator will go like this: guitar into channel one input, output of decmiator ch 1 into guitar input on amp, channel two of decimator into the serial loop (on all the time). Switchable send into multi fx unit, output of fx unit into paralell return (gives a switchable paralell loop)...

Cool. Fernie (herbie on the board) kind of ran the loop options down for me, and I think i know how I am going to set it all up. Thanks again for the info.

Hey All; I am confused about the loop options with the Herbert. I want to put my effects unit into the parallel loop, but I wanted to be able to switch it in and out. The switchable loop is not a parallel loop though, correct? Also (to those using a decimator), how do you have yours hooked up...

Hah, you sound like me! :) Don't worry, it's worth the wait. I got mine last Friday and absolutely love it, even more than the Einstein I owned. Josh will take care of you. I hear that more are going out in a week or so, but maybe Peter can confirm/deny that.

that's weird. Right before I ordered this one, John had them coming in all the time. I do know that if u order one he usually gets them fast. Have you talked to John directly? He's the guy to deal with.

Now that's quite a combination. I had and loved my SLO. Why did I sell it? Idiot factor I suppose. Damn, how could anyone sell an SLO? I won't rub it in but I'd never get rid of mine. BTW, if you are anywhere near Northern CA. and want to try a Herbert, let me know and you can try mine.

Thanks. So far I love this thing. I kind of had the same thoughts on the technology thing. I had to get as midi perdal for the switching etc, so I figured I'd get a multi fx unit too, just to have the effects on tap when I want them (like when I am doing my Dave Navarro trip). Can't get around...

Get one when you can; it's awesome. BTW, if you're in the Bay Area and looking for a Diezel, call Music Unlimited in Monterey; they always have Herberts and VH4s, or they have them on the way.
