Do you know if one of those three channels can be set for the 70's/Plex mode that the Helios 100 does so well? I don't see a 70's switch in any of the photos, just an 80's, a HOT and an Eclipse setting per channel.

Those metal grill 20th XTC's look serious. I've been tempted to swap out the wheat a few times. That Helios 50 sitting on it is a perfect two amp rig.

They are really expensive. I will say it had the tightest bottom end of any amp I have ever played. Not a lot of gain was needed to make it sound heavy but there is more than enough available. I had an earlier model (closer to the Hetfield era MC1 than the newer MC2). If you do ever buy one...

I'm not sure that's possible. Into a cranked Hiwatt - maybe a pedal could get you halfway there but I doubt it.

I know this an old ass post but where did you try a 6V6 XTC? I see they sell the 20th on a German site but I've never seen one in America. I think this would be the perfect amp for me but that's an expensive chance to take knowing resell on a non-EL34 XTC wouldn't be good should I not like...
