They sound huge in my Carvin V412 cab, and when I put one in a Bag End ported cab in place of the EV12L, IMO it sounded much better, but I know it may just be the pairing of the amps I'm using, and I dislike the EV's and plan to sell or trading the 2 I currently have. :D
But the G12M70s don't...
He put a lot of things from various influences together that weren't already put together by other rock musicians into one kickass package, and IMO that was innovative. Some of his influences don't do anything for me, but the way he put his music together was, for me at least, awesome.
I like an unaccomanied guitar solo as long as it's at least in some way kickass, regardless of style or whether it's shred, blues, some interesting controlled feedback, looped playing, etc... Constant shred that doesn't change between songs, though, gets as tiresome for me to listen to as...
A cool list of bands IMO. 8)
I'll probably throw on some Kreator, Cro-Mags, Believer, Vinnie Moore, Testament, the Crucified, Symphony X, the Absence, etc., later.
I see you have a 5150 III listed as your amp and have heard the crunch channel is supposed to get a great Marshally sound. If the crunch channel on that doesn't seem to do it you could always go for one of the good above suggestions or just get an old Marshall JMP or JCM800 and throw a...
That's basically the same for something like the ESPN Gameplan package. I worked there a decade and only got calls at the start of seasons regarding the NFL ticket since its policy was easy to explain, but college games could be more difficult. With the NFL, unless something's changed in the...
Generally, if a game is unavailable it's because it's on a local channel. If you don't get it on a local channel and it's still unavailable, I recommend calling DTV back to find out if it's a tech problem and/or complain. Sometimes it takes getting to a supervisor if the first caller or two...
There's a 5150 mod thread that's been going on at the Ultimate Metal forum I meant to link back to here the other day: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/equi ... hread.html
At least in that video, they sound very, very similar. And any noise difference there might be seems negligible to me. If I see one locally, I'm grabbing it and maybe even re-housing it if I like it enough.
I also can relate with that frustration but just concentrate more on other things such as improving technique or coming up with new song parts that sound good to me. I haven't bought a new amp in a long time and have been satisfied with fairly simple gear, though partly out of necessity of...
I want to try the 6534+ out and think the el34's may make it preferable to me over the 6505/+.

It seems at least on a youtube demo that the Butcher is just a renamed JSX 50. Then again, it's only 2 channels and 100 Watts.
