Those are biased so cold and there's so little travel in the pot that you don't have to worry about biasing unless you do a bias mod. But as said earlier, stick to 6l6 tubes.
Man, I know musical tastes are subjective, but I'm honestly baffled that a musician would imply that LoG stacks up to CC. Have you even heard much CC?

Got to wonder what the hell got into him. Pat is a monster guitar player, his songs in CC were the usually the best on the albums since he joined- really crazy riffs. Also one of the few musicians in extreme metal fortunate enough to make a living from it. He's lucky to be alive after that stunt.
The kind of versatility you're asking for is going to be hard to get in a single tube amp, super expensive or not. I think you would be way better off with a powered Kemper or an Axe FX3- those can sound as raw or polished as you want, and will cover all the bases. You stated you're afraid of...
I just cranked the mids on my old FB60, didn't have any problems being heard through a Mesa 4x12 in a band mix. Usually got complemented on the tone as well. That said, I do feel I'd have a hard time going back to it after getting used to the FB100's mid boost. I leave that on, and generally...
I had a 60w fireball years ago (05-09) that I loved. Kicked myself for years after selling it. Bought a FB100 after really getting back into playing a couple years ago and I am very glad I did. Killer amp for the heavy stuff, I intend on holding onto this one as long as I'm able to play.
I'll throw my .02 in on using IR's over cabs as well- using the free ownhammer pack made my high gain Helix tones way better. I know some people get great results with the stock cabs and some heavy EQ tweaking, but I found a quality IR to me a much better starting point.
Did not know that. Thanks, my tracking status makes sense now. They do have some nice prices, just sucks to hear stories like the OP's. Got to be up front with communication when you're running a business.
Cool addition to the family, really looks like a much better fit for my needs than the LT. I'm still digging to find out if it can run one output with IR and one without.
I haven't put one in the KM-6 yet, but compared to the DD in my other guitars, I'd say that's pretty accurate. Certain characteristics of the Nazgul are growing on me though- it's definitely not a bad pickup in any case.
Another question- I was just digging up info on the GE-200 and saw your posts in that thread, how would you say the modeling on that unit stacks up to the preamp live? Semi interested in it for the same reasons, and I believe it does a couple other things I use the helix for- USB recording and...
