Two things I can think of. Make sure the speakers are screwed in tight enough and run a screw through the back and into the brace/support/strut.

I used to want that too but now I'm feeling like a single channel hi-gain head into a 412 and A/B that with a super clean 212 combo. Different amps with separate effects loops going out to different speakers in different enclosures for completely different sounds seems like the way to go for me...

If it was my 412 and I couldn't get rid of it I'd take it into the nearest Guitar Center and just dump it there. At least they'll give you something for it and it won't be shitting up your living space anymore.
