This is SUCH a killer guitar, but I'm more of a super strat guy. I purchased this a year and a half ago and it really hasn't been played much. It's kinda silly to me to keep this much tied up in a virtually unused guitar.

Man, my 1st 'real' guitar was a Charvel 1A with the tweed case.
Bought it brand new in '86 or '87. Had to have a the trem replaced with a Floyd Rose as the crappy pot metal bridge started to wear out from too much abuse- I wanted to be Vai at the time. Sadly, that never happened.

You're hitting harmonics as you very lightly slide your finger down the string while trilling or doing pull offs.. Just like playing an open string harmonic- that's the amount of pressure you're using.
Yep- counter clockwise reduces voltage/ increases the spatter/ Velcro sounds. Leaving it with the face on the knob aligned ‘normally’ is the default bias setting.
Agreed- a fuzz is really interactive with the guitar volume. Back it down to clean up the fuzz, and you'll fine a lot of 'shades' depending on where you run your volume.
I recently got into fuzzes- they are a different beast entirely, but super cool in the right contect. I don't like the 'wall of fuzz' but really dig it as an overdrive with some fur/ saturation goin' on into a moderately overdriven amp.
Make sure you don't have any buffered pedals in front of...
