Yes, we use the X-Air apps I believe as well for the x32 mixer. It is nice to just walk back to my rack and adjust my own mix during sound check. It can be a bit cumbersome as rotating the phone gives you access to different sliders and such...but being able to assign sub groups and create a...
While we do not have everything in a single rack space...we do all run direct and use IEM's. We pretty much all have our own rigs in a separate rack. Set up is fairly quick (full pa/lights, instruments, soundcheck can be done in an hour if we push it, usually closer to 90 minutes on average...
Huge Metallica fan here....old, middle and current stuff....
I dont dislike it, but I'm not as blown away as others...been thinking about it all night and trying to figure out why as it didnt 'hit' me and left me on the fence about it.
1) I think it sounds too 'dry', as someone said earlier...
Mission Engineering? Looking to order 2 sets of feet for my pedals, they are $4 a piece...but the cheapest shipping option is Fed Ex Smartpost which is just shy of $12.
Or if there are other parts compatible with their pedals, I'd be game for that too...
From my memory, there should be 2 jacks you can plug your footswitch jack from the amp into, and then on each preset or button you assign in stompbox mode, you can assign which switches are latches or whatever. I ran this with my Peavey JSX head. It was a 3 channel..so the 1 switch changed to...
That looks like a killer guitar...I miss playing my Washburn Dimebag 'Darbell' model. Never could find a lot of information on it, but his name was misspelled on the headstock. That guitar would just slay with the usual 81/85 set in there. Just wish it wasn't so top heavy balance wise...if...
I know a scale or two...couldn't tell you the names...probably the pentatonic's (?). Only learned that stuff from being in a blues period when I was younger. Everything I know from theory is just from learning songs, and trying to understand, this lick was over this chord or pattern and trying...
I don't know if they are made much anymore, but Ibanez had one called the Weeping Demon, that had some adjustments on it. It was auto engaging, and had a knob under the rocker pedal that you could turn to adjust the on/off engage time in ms I believe. Also had some sweep controls and such...
Yeah I don't get the snubbery here. Live and let live, someone came up with a product that improves something...cool. I'm not a whammy/floyd player at all. Hell, I can barely get my wah foot to operate correctly to use the whammy pedal I have when I need a quick dive for effect, but I...
I agree USPS is horrible, and anything the company I work for sends via Smartpost is just as bad. We moved to a brand new building in early February. The USPS would not allow customers to ship to our new building because the address 'did not exist'. I can understand maybe a week or so after...
I'm pretty sure ultimate-guitar.com had several "play like the master" pages for it showing instructional videos and such. I was laughing so hard when I saw that...I'm not sure I would have kept it together if I played like that in front of that audience....
I still have my Ultra....going strong, 10 years or so. Still finding amps I've never gel'd with or bothered to sit down and figure out. still putting out good tones, and haven't had a single issue with it (knocks on wood).
While I somewhat agree the style can be boring. My other forum I stated that I couldnt see clubs around here booking that for anything more than an hour. It seems like it'd be more of a street music money maker kinda thing.
I was more impressed, as I've seen videos with original...
James Hetfield, RichieSambora, Dave Mustaine, Dimebag Darrell....etc, etc, etc. Don't care about your opinions of their playing styles or writing abilities, or about my lack of skill or playing technique, lack of theory education whatever.....
While those guys frustrate the hell out of...
I had one, I loved it. Was my first 'tube' amp. When I see one for sale, I am tempted to pick one up...but I wouldnt have a ton of use for it. Much less do I have any money available with a baby girl due in October.
I meant what your bass/mid/treb and such were all set at....I have an Axe Fx, and would like to try and get close to this tone....being that I've never had the chance to play with the 'real' amp....just curious where I can start for front of the amp type settings.
Very much digging the tones, especially that second clip. Any tips on the settings you had for those? I know you were playing with the guitar volume knob quite a bit to go from clean/breakup to ballz out....but I'm looking for some help to dial in that tone.....V30 cab I saw you mention...
