ok, tons of hilarious responses and some serious ones, I will try to approach all that apply...lol....again, I appreciate any and all 'banter'.
Sorry, didnt catch the reference, but it is a possible straight ahead approach to solve it..
I agree, we definately would prefer to not deal with...
we knew the band existed, but the only 'recent' information we found when we started the band January of 2012 was...their last album was released 2010, and the last known public performance is listed back in 2006...so we pretty much thought the band was 'done'.
I understand if you cannot offer 'advice' from a legal standpoint, but if someone is interested in pm'ing me with some advice or comfortable enough to post on this thread, it would appreciated either way.
So, here is the situation.
My band is a local cover band that plays within a 100 mile...
you could run like me, I dont have the kemper, but run the Fractal Ultra Gen 1 box. I have that in a 6 space rack with my guitar wireless, IEM wireless and a power strip. I have a pedal board, and two guitars and a nice toolbox that fits my cables and other accessories. I can almost make it...
cause to be honest, I know not much about guitars. It's the one aspect that I've really neglected in my rig, as the guitars I've had have been 'serviceable'. I've never had any issues with tones that I'm happy with, but never 100% satisfied either. When I say I dont know much, I'm referring...
well my next step is to take my rig/rack in there and play it through my rig to compare to my current axes for the real tone aspect. From a playability aspect I was pretty ok with it, especially compared to the other ones I tried today.
This seems different than my experience. I'm coming from a Fender Squire (LP style body) and I thought the access to the 24th frets was pretty decent. I didnt get a chance to plug it in while standing with a strap, but sitting down, had no issues reaching the higher frets. Seemed the neck...
there is one of the white ones, EMG 81/60 (the store rep said it was 81/85, but the website says 81/60), on consignment near me for $650, but the store guy said he would give me a better deal that the tag...
Curious as I respect a lot of your opinions on here as you all have much more...
no worries Giga...i appreciate the help!! I'm taking it to a few techs around here. So far the only one that got back to me is the one at Guitar Wireless, but seems like a good guy, and has enough experience from what I see on the site. so...we'll see how that works. (fingers...
giga - without discouraging your input, I dont think thats it, there is quite a bit of space on the one guitar because it had to be routed so the emg's would fit depth wise...the other guitar didnt have that issue and emg's fit perfectly fine. Both came equipped with passives, swapped for...
Guitar Guy - Thanks, thats the type of issue I was expecting someone to chime in with. The guy that did the pup installations is serviceable, but always seemed like a little too much acid/LSD was used years ago...so never had the 100% confidence it would turn out ok.
Rez - There are a few...
Thank you for the response Yeti, first and foremost, I appreciate it.
Now on to the answers...
I understand what you are saying about the hair tie as I have seen that on guitars before, wasnt exactly sure what it was for, but makes sense if this is the case. My only counter point to this as...
Does anyone have a good website to show a newb how to do this? I'm becoming more and more convinced that the wiring on my axes isnt right. I've eliminated just about any other solution I can come up with other than the wiring just isnt correct.
Maybe some of you awesome gurus can help me...
I've been going direct with my Axe fx, so last night at practice I was digging actually hearing the tone I dialed in and not having it messed with through a monitor wedge or cheap cabinet or anything. I get what you mean by just digging the atmosphere sound as opposed to the 'sealed' sound...
Just thought I'd share my thoughts on this as I just used them at band practice yesterday for the first time and I tend to see them offered just about every 'affordable IEM' type thread. Any specific questions or anything feel free to PM me.
ok, so a quick review on the Carvin E900's I just...
it's not so much a pain in the ass, just depends on your rig, ie: what kind of setup you play through. I do agree that the Banshee (version 1, is what I have as well) makes it pretty streamline if you want to run it before your signal chain. I guess you can put it wherever you want in your...
