Watching now. It's interesting he didn't know what a "hot shield" was when he made this video. He said he'd never seen such a thing before. But it's a fairly common method of shielding grid wires while at the same time shaving off highs due to Miller capacitance interaction. Kind of a silly...
I actually don't know for sure. I always see people mention the vertical input as being better. I do know the horizontal input amps have PCB-mounted pots. Not a bad thing in and of itself. But I can't use these amps for the mods I do because I need access to the pot lugs.
...is awesome. Just saying ;)

What a great sound. Open, uncompressed, and angry. The Power Station really adds a ton of aggression and low-end punch if you dial it right and use it as a second power amp instead of...
They're still pretty delicate haha. I've found a few different work arounds. This particular amp also had a weird repair/mod to the board that looks factory. Marshall did some odd things.
I'm having a lot of fun building these. I'm getting pretty quick at it too. I can punch/drill the chassis...
First time doing this mod to a Marshall with a PCB. I've heard the traces on Marshall's ST1 board are fragile as hell and I can confirm that's true. I'm surprised they don't disintegrate the first time someone plays a power chord lol. But if you're careful you can make it work.
This one belongs...
In the last 25 years, I've had the best results with Gotham GAC-1 Ultra Pro cable and Redco's Gepco XB20UB. Just buy it in bulk and slap on your favorite plugs (Neutrik for me). You can also get really great cables at good prices on Amazon from World's Best Cables. They use Gotham.
I saw them open for Mesghuggah recently, with Carcass. I wasn't impressed, but the singer was kinda entertaining in that he's like 75% neck and screams at the crowd about ejaculating blood.
Could have me build you one. Ceriatone got the layout/schematic for this circuit from me in the first place. But the schematic they pilfered from SLO Clone forum was incomplete. So they never really got the circuit right. The version I build differs slightly from the Meshuggah though. Just...
Just look at the gut shot photos. Marshall left out like 75% of the mod. That's why it sounds like crap. A "Jose mod" is more than just a pair of diodes, a MV, and a bright cap.
That said, this would make a great donor amp for some real mods haha
Niiiice. And that's the stock spakers (G12T-75 and V30)?
EDIT: Oh wait that's the rear-loaded cab not the Uberkab? I have the same one actually. H75 Creambacks in mine.
