The SD Custom 5 works well for metal/rock in the bridge, but I don't think EMG's are no good for Diezels - it's a question of eq-ing....

Correct. :) To double the volume you need 10 times the watts, so to make the volume half as "quiet" you need to cut down to 18 watss. 4 Ohm into 8 Ohm of the cab will have an effect on the sound, but also on the "loudness" - only a bit though.... Personally I think the Herbert is pretty well...

I really think the problems lies in the cab...way too dark for a dark-voiced amp... The Herbert is awesome, but not with every cab...

You may want to give yourself and the Herbie a little more time...

I doubt your tone will change other than being bigger with two cabs... Good choice on the fl V30 cab. :thumbsup:

I might do that, but from having played thru a hempcone cab and a V30/G12K cab I tend to lean towards the later...in time... I'm quite happy with my all-V30 cab right now. :)

Right. You plug the cable from the amp (16 Ohm) into the 4x12's left input and another cable into the right input of the 4x12. :) If I were to get another cab it would probably be a V30/G12K X-pattern. Didn't like the hempcone cab for metal - the one I played at Dillingen a year or so ago...
