Sorry to hijack, but I talked to a friend of mine yesterday. He's got an Einstein 50 top, and a Mesa fl V30 2x12 - the reason he got that box was because he can put it on the side and the Einstein fits on it. He can't do that with the new Diezel cabs - they're to small - without the amp looking...

Try to get your hands on a used Engl fl V30. Works well with the Herbert, but keep in mind that it won't be as awesome as a new Diezel cab...but pretty good for what you play.

Imo powertubes don't really color your tone all that much, it's the preamp tubes. Also, try to fiddle with the ones you will have in it for the time being. Herbert is full of awesome tones.

I have Herbert 001/673 and it's a late 06 model, so I'm guessing yours is early to mid 07.

I tried a Herbert thru a new 2x12 Diezel cab and it was awesome.

Close call I guess, but unless you crank the Herbert WAY past noon, I think you should be ok....maybe you need to look at another cab, not another amp? ;)
