Well, the hempcones are - imo - really awesome for rock, pop, maybe even hardrock, but I didn't like them for high-gain metal...

I actually talked to Peter S. about that when I bought my new cab, and he said that the fl V30 is more suited for metal, but oh well... I played them both and the G12 cab, and to my ears the V30 won.

The only thing that changed is the external bias afaik - I think Peter commented on this a few times already...maybe the search will yield results for you?
