You're not wrong. I was still impressed with what it spat out. I kind of expected some half-assed bullshit that wasn't even close to death metal. But I guess udio's input data is good enough to be able to output good enough generic stuff.
When I wrote a research paper last summer about AI use in the music industry, I tested some of the AI tools. I used the following prompt in Udio, "death metal song about unicorns. fast double bass. palm mutes."
