He wears a wig,so probably didn't even feel it.
I grew up a huge fan, could care less now. Seen them probably 6 times starting in the 80's. I saw the early 2000 reunion with original members. They were all on point that night, so that was the highlight. Saw them a few times after that and it...
I was totally sold on this since I'm looking for a backup that I can throw in a gig bag, The clean amps sound good. I watched the Leon Todd demo, and the dirty amps sounded not so hot, and that guy makes everything sound good. But you could always add your own drive pedal. I would assume this is...
The sound is so much better these days. I remember back in the 80's/90's the sound was such shit, and so loud unless you knew the music it could be hard to make out. Also I remember when the band talked to the crowd you could not understand a word they said.
The Vyper VIP2 sounds WAY better than the Katana 50. Had both at the same time, I was going to upgrade to the Katana but the cab sounded like a wet fart in the low end compared to the Peavey.
I would get the Headrush MX5 and run it through a small powered monitor like the Headrush 108. That's my...
The neck I bought from Jamerson Guitars I think? It's Birdseye maple with compound radius, better than any original Kramer neck. The body I bought off a place in TN that supposedly cut the bodies for the the USA reissue run back in 06'ish, this was a "leftover". It was bare wood and not finished off.
That is a few hundred dollars in parts to Gibson and anyone with basic skills could assemble it. It's probably set up like shit out of the box so what are you really paying $2200 for?
I bought an SIR amp a few years back. 1978 Super Lead. It was all stock. Very low gain. I sold it on TGP and the guy who bought it sent it to Tim Caswell for his AFD mod. Never did hear how it came out.
Seems like every model I drop the bass way down to like 2, and turn the treble mids and presence up, so I'm with you there. I find the York Audio IR's just sound right to my ears. There's a bunch in there already they have YA in the title. Pick an IR you like and use it to build all your tones...
I gig mine all the time in a cover band. I use about a dozen presets. Never run into CPU issues. Unless your into big crazy reverbs and don't need 12 effects at once cpu is not a problem it's great.
Case prices are stupid. Plus $40 or more to ship it. I recently bought a Musicians Friend house brand case off Ebay for like 120 with free shipping. Its ok but the standard Fender HSC is much nicer. I have moved to nice gig bags for most of my stuff.
