The sound is so much better these days. I remember back in the 80's/90's the sound was such shit, and so loud unless you knew the music it could be hard to make out. Also I remember when the band talked to the crowd you could not understand a word they said.

I bought an SIR amp a few years back. 1978 Super Lead. It was all stock. Very low gain. I sold it on TGP and the guy who bought it sent it to Tim Caswell for his AFD mod. Never did hear how it came out.

Hell, live-I'm lucky if I can be heard in the mix at all. Nobody is going to hear a difference between ultra quality reverb and normal reverb :)

I gig mine all the time in a cover band. I use about a dozen presets. Never run into CPU issues. Unless your into big crazy reverbs and don't need 12 effects at once cpu is not a problem it's great.

Case prices are stupid. Plus $40 or more to ship it. I recently bought a Musicians Friend house brand case off Ebay for like 120 with free shipping. Its ok but the standard Fender HSC is much nicer. I have moved to nice gig bags for most of my stuff.

A lot of the stock presets are perfectly usable.
