Speaking of gibson pickups....i guess many compares the 490R & 495T set against the duncan JB and the 495T set just kills the JB in every aspect.... being more open natural less compression, have just gotten a set used for my Heritage H150...
Guys thank you for all the input... but in anycase does anybody knows the early rev F does have the multi mains tap for different voltages from different countries? Have read schemetics that its gonna be an export model from mesa boogie to have that function... ? Any boogie expert ?
Am weary that the fizzy topend would get where my fuzz is about... the Wizard MTL and MC2 is non fizzy topend kinda amp together with the Fryette UL .... i like these amps as in my opinion its a "cleaner" amp
I just hope that the new UL mk2 is gonna be more rich in its tone.... as what i do recall on previous episode of his talk show as he mention the new UL is gonna be a complete turn table....
I cant convince myself in having so many UL lol.... but its a display of pandemonia... anyway which year are these? And how much a difference they sound? Is there a particular one whom stands out among ?
Heard duncan uses the always talked about rough cast A5 magnets, and maple spacer... not sure if its potted on the antiquity jazz/jb set.... not sure if its uses different bobbin wires, not sure if its scatterwound....
But i did get a small readup on the telegib JB which a different wire is...
Haha... not sure thou... i never hear Jeff beck music sorry for my ignorance... cause i unknowingly been using the JB for most of it.... i heard Jeff beck uses it on his blow by blow record ? Correct me if wrong lol... since i got my Heritage H150 in Oxblood i am trying to get in a set of pickup...
Changjng magnets should be quite easy i guess.... i have intention of taking out the pickup tactfully and try to dewax my old JB i wonder if the wax does gets into the windings?
