I actually like JB as well.... but compares to the 80s JBJ its just a tad different.... the JBJ is so much sweeter and more gooey or chewy.... i kinda wanna try to get rid of the wax potting but only a certain amount of wax i could take away without messing the wax in the coil...

Maybe need to add that maple spacer with a UOA5.... Any idea whats diff between unoriented A5 magnet vs rough cast ? Are they the same thing just different naming? Duncan JBJ uses rough cast with maple spacer thou....

If your an LP player why not try hearing the gibson 498T ? Its 12.2kDC with alnico V .... it sounds so much less clinical, more natural and open vs a stock JB.... recently got one but intend to put in a unoriented alnico V mag.... heard it has more vintage vibe and more warm and abit less mids...

I live in flat... made a mistake in ordering a D120 masterbuild 2019.... thought it could handle at low fart volume like ultra lead but i was wrong..... this D120 is a crazy loud monster.... hardly tweak to desired good level its usually too shrill on the highs and thin at 0.4 volume ?
