Nick, why do you say the standard sounds smoother? I dont think of fuzzy or buzzy as smooth sounding. To me it was kind of abrasive actually. Not a very round, cohesive sound like on the 20th (or XTC).

The two tone is a vintage look for sure, but I really like it.

I think the Renegade is the best mass market amp they make, and maybe Im a cork sniffer, but I still really prefer the modular stuff. I think that is really Bruce's legacy.

Korey, I think you will like the SL2x. I think its more its a better fit than EG5 for the earlier stuff you want to do and it will also work for the later stuff too. Both are killer, but for your use I think SL2x is the way to go. Its shipping out tomorrow. You will enjoy it!
