thanks for the replies, sent you an email too neili!
Main concern was taking off the necks and leaving off for 3mths or so.
I'm at the point where the info is so scarce it makes it less risky sending them unaccompanied...as long as the necks off won't screw with the truss rod etc
Yes but they still require a pre convention certificate....its an absolute nightmare that wasn't thought out at all with regards to musical instruments.
Hi peeps,
Due to all this CITES BS with rosewood I've been trying to work out how to potentially ship cross country a few guitars in the future.
One possible solution I've came up with is any bolt on's removing the necks and just shipping back the guitar bodies with my personal belongings and...

Apparently there were a few he had but one sounded the best. You don't have a kemper do you Jerry? :D I'd pay good money for a profile of that amp.... imo it's the greatest metal tone of all time
Hi there,
I want to use my AFD100 marshall with my two notes torpedo live but just curious about how much I can crank the master?
Slash always had his master cranked around 8 to get power tube distortion but I thought I read not to dial it too high when using it with the torpedo?
The other...
There was a few magazines where he mentioned it had a noise gate...Dino was very protective of that amp and switched stories around a bit over the years.
I had some fantastic articles on that amp...to me it was the greatest metal tone of all time.
AFAIK Dino uses a Kemper profile of the Fortin...
Man I noticed the same thing! I wired it myself exact to the diagram ...pots and everything work fine.....
Thought there might be a short or some weird shit ...maybe I'll take another look.
One thing that pisses me off is there looks to be a few different revisions on these pickups.
I think...
I've wondered the same thing
If you just play quickly doing pull offs running down the neck it doesn't sound a whole lot different to that run in Blackend or some of the other ones he does...
What is everyone else's opinion?
There are a few tweaks you can do with the moderns (not sure about the others)
There a jumper that drops them down 6db ...made quite a difference...when I first tried them I thought they were hotter and more compressed than EMG's
This tamed them a bit...I found the wiring diagrams pretty poor...
That's what I'm thinking...too many signature models and shit half those guys were EMG users ROFL....how are you supposed to know how they will sound
I'm guessing can get a great clean tone with these vs EMGs.....
I dunno I just saw a lot of long time EMG users jump ship and instanty get a "signature set" makes me wonder how much is financial reasoning?
not knocking the pickups at all though!
What set would be the closest to EMG 81's?
I really want to try a set but it seems all the artists using them have their own "signature set".....kinda seems shady
I've learnt a variety of shapes but putting it together in one smooth movement never worked for me ..I tend to fall into the various boxes moving up and down them not descending like this @ 0:44

Wondering if any of you guys ever used one of these?
I know the various modes (mainly using major scale shifting it around) , pentatonic etc but I'd like to be able to flow up and down the neck better.
Got a feeling this could be a good help.
Anyone have any experience with them?
What do you expect with the rage of woods that people can't even pronounce let alone have an idea what it might sound like in a guitar?
Its 100% aesthetics only
