Just another idea, I use a TC Plethora X1 with a Brainwaves TonePrint loaded for a Dual Detune. It works pretty well for this type of thing. You can specify the cents and delay on each side and run it in stereo. It is also analog dry through.
I generally use mine to split the signal for various reasons. For example, if I put it in the loop of one amp, and then run the second output to the power amp of a second amp for stereo.
Another way I use it is to run my tube amps through a loadbox, then then put into this EQ, come out stereo...
I did do the bass suck mod on my Rev G Triple. The stock loop does lose bass. I kept mine parallel, but have considered converting to serial. You just move 2 wires.
One person's slow is another person's huge. Rectos have that huge wall of sound that not many amps have. If you tighten it up, it will lose it's original goodness.
If you want it tighter then use a boost and EQ.
I have multiple rooms of gear, lol.
I have bought several sounds for ToneX, but my #1 sound is where I loaded my 5153 with a loadbox reamped through a poweramp into a cab and I took a capture of it. Now I basically have a copy of that sound and feel I can run into my real cabs, or through an IR...
I would give ToneX and NAM a try. I have used Fractal for years for chugga tones, but always fought over tweaking it. Over the last year ToneX has blown me away to the point where I am playing into the computer more than my tubes. Making your own IR helps a lot also.
I love the Synergy system. I have 8 of the high gain modules. They all sound great to me. They tend to sound a little tighter and clearer than the amps they are based on, and the power amp you use makes a huge difference.
They are all part of T-Racks 6 MAX. That package includes like 60 some plugins. It also has all the compressors and mastering channel strips and such. I also like the Plate/Hall/Etc Reverbs it comes with for the Lexicon style stuff.
The best deal from them is to buy Total Studio 5 MAX. That is...
Yeah, you always need to download the skins when it gives you the option, or you will have the error mentioned a few pages back.
When you open ToneX in Amplitube, you might need to click the "Restore Purchases" button in the options to force it to pull the stuff you own.
