Which channel? On the Red channel, the original and stealth have basically the same amount of gain - the difference is the stealth has a 5.1k cathode resistor on the 3rd gain stage while the original has 18k - so arguably, if by "gain" you mean "distortion," the original has more than the...
Those stupid plastic straps caused the majority of this damage. Should never ship with those things, all they do is get caught on crap when they are in processing/conveyors and rip the box, or tempt the handlers to pick up the package by holding the straps which cuts into the box and tears it...
Aw man, count me super jealous. I just bought one of these 2-3 weeks ago from GC, and I was super excited to try the 444 cone 65's - I like bassier tones. It showed up and the original speakers were all ripped out, so I had to return it - the price I paid was just not worth it for a quad of 90s...
I use those little velcro strips. I had a few rolls from working in IT and they work great, a little roll around a few cables to hold them together and if a cable goes bad it's not a huge chore to swap it out either.
I would say "reduce" is important too, if you can. I used to run a power cable...
Great stuff! I also had an excellent experience with my Rev F. The repair cost was quite reasonable all things considered (mine had blown a hole through the PCB). Cheaper than a way easier repair my local shop did... you can bet I won't be going back to the local shop for anything Mesa at least...
I don't particularly love the 2555, but on the other hand I absolutely love the later circuit 2205/2210's and the 2100/2500 Mk III is one of my favorite amp designs. Over on the Marshall forums the 2205/2210/MkIII's get glowing reviews, but the 2555's are a bit more polarizing. If anything, I'd...
I have an Irish last name, you going to cancel mine? I mean, assuming you live in the US, it's pretty damn common for people to have "foreign" names.

This place is so funny sometimes. You guys will bitch about a buyer acting shady, in full support of this guy cancelling his bank account...

$829
Just gotta check every day. They are popular amps and deal hunters like me scoop them up within hours of being listed. For example yesterday there was an Ivory 5153 100w for just $899 on there. Gone already...
I'm still rocking an old Macbook with the intel processor and Logic Pro X. Seems to work fine, maybe someday I'll have to upgrade but not for a while, and it was half the price of an M2 at the time. That said, I have nothing installed on it at all besides Logic so it's super clean, nothing to...
I'm not much of a drinker either but when I just want to throw something on and play along without having to focus too much, I default to 90s and 00's punk stuff. Blink 182, Sum 41, Green Day, Lagwagon, American Hi-Fi, Unwritten Law etc... easy to windmill a few power chords, if I miss one a...
It's not completely original, a previous owner installed those chrome covered pickups, a factory one would've had double creme Dimarzio Dual Sounds with creme pickup rings too. The dark "burst" is the only one I've ever seen like this, but I'm pretty confident that part is original because there...
Sorry this happened, and I know your brain is going a mile a minute here but try to take a breather and wait until it arrives. Spamming messages to Reverb support when they & you are still just speculating about the condition of the parts etc is a worthless endeavor that just frustrates...
I'm a big nerd who checks the GC Used site almost every day during my early morning meetings and I see these for $799 at least once a month. In fact there is one on there right now for $829. Sometimes you roll the dice on GC but something to consider if someone is actually looking for one of...
I've had multiple IV's and got my first III recently, a blue stripe but dated '89. Honestly it kills, awesome amp. A few quirks as expected for an amp this age but the tone sounds just as fresh as when it came out. I actually might like it more than the IV... still not sure about that though...
Wow, great fit. She sounds killer
Also cool to see Dave still playing one of those traditional headstock ESP's. I always wanted a black M1 because of him (not the pointy headstock one)
I don't mind an EQ in the loop or in post, it's just part of the puzzle and another tool in the box. Especially in the "old days" with fewer amps, or more expensive amps not readily available and so on. I wouldn't fault anyone for picking up a $400 JCM900 and throwing an EQ in the loop and using...
I have an Orthos 2 and played a Juno for a while. I didn't think they were all that different, same kind of tone, slightly different flavor/texture. Just my opinion of course, while I like the Orthos, I wouldn't be chasing any KSR for what I'd call "classic" modded Marshall tones.
On the other...
