Ive got a duncan distortion that i took out of another guitar for the short term, but id rather get the wood right for my needs than match it to the pickup!
What kind of wood do you think tonally works best in a superstrat. Nothing too exquisite though!
Im going to put together a superstrat from a bunch of parts I have lying round, but I need to get a body. The config will be HSS, Floyd, Bolt-On Maple neck with Rosewood board. The finish is going...
To be brutally honest, only one of my guitars inspires/excites me - my Strat. I can write nice jangly clean progressions all day on that thing. Its a shame that it isnt what I want to write at the moment!
Id love a nice 24 fret HSS superstrat, low action, floyd etc. But a classy one, dot...
Just spinning "Lock up the wolves" by Dio this afternoon. By no means my favourite Dio disc, but there is some killer axework on this. This guy was right up there with any of Dio's axemen. Ive not heard anything from him since that version of Dio disbanded...

Ive never had a traditional "office" job, but get outside as often as you can. Take lunches/break outside whenever possible. Helps pass the day. Also, +1 to the snacking thing
When we talk about boosting an amp, do you mean running a pedal always on, or just kicking it for a bit more dirt for leads/solos for when you just need 2 years of more skills?
Sorry for the n00b question! I just tend to use a pedal for a bit more dirt when I need it...
Cornford amps really are superb. The Mk50H also being my favourite. They are actually pretty reasonably prices over here in the UK too :D
Shame im absolutely flat out broke...
Dan, KAGE or whoever knows,
What is he using the SE-50/70 for? I wouldnt guess it would be delays with that SDE... Im in the market for a decent multi-fx (see my quadraverb thread here http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15140)

Thanks for the advice man. The DD20 seems to cost nearly double that of the quadraverb and the SE-50 on the used market, so thats the reason im not immediately looking at it, plus the extra features of the other processors might come in handy, you never know!

Hey Ralph,
Ive done some digging around and found that you can get the SE-50s for about the same £££ as Quadraverbs. Seeing as you know a thing or too about good tone, ill check one out!
Got a couple of questions that i cant seem to find the answer to:
Are they footswitchable, by...

I hear ya on this, ive played for years with no effects at all. Just a boost infront for solos. However, ive started a covers band for a bit of extra cash and to get gigging again and the ballads just dont sound right without the delays. I figured id pick up a used Midi Mouse or...
