Some amps need break in time. I have a Fryette that was extremely stiff when new. After some playing time it felt like a different amp.

The issue with the originals was in the power section. I would imagine anyone who made a modern version would mod it to be safe to use.

JJ, russia, and china are making tubes as fast as they can, but not screening for quality as much. The shuagang plant has reopened. Tubes are out there, just be prepared to buy extras since they may not last long.

Those are NOS tubes. The only tube the new western electric makes is the 300b.
