those who own the reg 100 watters,
just do the gain mods i posted on another thread and you wont need the 100s.
simple mods and easily reversable.
snip one leg of r26 and piggyback a 220k to r25 to equal 100k.
this will increase your ch2 gain.
yah. i hear a man.
with a little more gain on ch2 in the nonstealth models the thing kicks. some others also say the stealth ch2 andch3 are about the same and it went from a 3ch amp to a 2 ch amp.
do the gain mods on the n/s models and you will be happy.
own 2 of the chamemleon blackface models. the older models and they frickn kill. these new ones look and sound great, but why not have those all in one unit?
those who want more gain on their ch2, must try this.
some only do the r26 mod and are very happy with it. its very easy to do and can be reversed if you dont like.
yes if you want the 50 watt bl ch on your 100 watt head it is the way to go.
you can also replace r25 with 100k or piggyback a 220k to the original. if you piggyback you can always snip the 220k off and go back to factory. thats how i did mine.
with both r25 and r26 done you will have the 50...
the newer ones dont have any more gain on ch2, but the newer models do have c23 removed and replaced with a jumper wire. that is suppose to make the amp more alive.
also if you want more gain on ch 2 its an easy mode. just clip one side of r26 and more gain. if you just clip one end you can...
no loud thuds here. i did the //r25 only. almost double the gain on ch2.
this also increased the gain in ch1 so i removed r55 and replaced it with a 10k. clean is now super clean and does not start to break up until the gain is half or better. sounds fr*ckn awesome.
i did not know about...
i did the // to r25. used a 220k 1/2 watt. brought her down to 100k.
worked great. i would say almost double the gain on ch2.
did not realize that there was 2 mods for this??
