What is it about the JJ that you like in the V1 position? I've been thinking of trying one in V1 of my VH4 as I've REALLY enjoyed the JJ's in the preamp of my Marshall TSL for years, it makes that amp for me (now have a tungsol in v1 though, just kicks more ass).

I didn't know that about the schmidt, that's incredibly awesome however. Do you suppose it would be accessable in a similar fashion to how one accesses the power tube distortion on a VH4?

my philosophy is = more volume, less gain... or should I say - just add enough gain to get to your sound ;)

Has the schmidt's footswitch undergone any cosmetic changes? I noticed the font on the new schmidt is different to the cursive type font it used to have, which makes me think about the font on the footswitch. Has that changed also?

You guys should send a shirt to that guy because his videos have officially sold me on a Schmidt, when I sell some stuff ;). It sounds like an absolutely fantastic amp from those vids.
