My "M" was also hand-written. It isn't a recent one. Bought in early 2010, and it was a display-model at AmpLounge, so pretty sure it's first-run. Pre-amp boards are all 08', rev. 1.6 and power board is rev. 1.5. Was just relieved to here that they may have redesigned the PT. Gonna be gigging...

Yes, but I assume your Tourmaster has been out of commission for a while, therefore it's probably been discharged already? I also assume you're speaking of the "power on and play mode for five minutes" technique that Ian had suggested. I'd say you're safe to go. I never had to discharge my caps...

I just did mine a few days ago. I simply drew a (top view) picture of the old tranny, while it was still installed, noting front, back, left-side, right.....ect. Took a few pictures of the leads inside, routing, connections, etc. Clipped all the wire-ties, and removed each lead one-by-one...
