I have both a 5150 III 100W and a Stealth 50W. I prefer Channel 1 & 2 on the 5150 III 100W, and I prefer Channel 3 on the Stealth. They are very close sonically, the Stealth has a bit more tightness than the 100W.

I bought a used JSX off Guitar Center in late July, and I threw some new Hi-Gain JJ's (Gain Score=11) in it for CH2 & 3, and the amp totally thumps now.

I got an Orange Tube Tester Mk2 off Sweetwater a few weeks ago, and I love it.. I tested all the tubes in the amps I bought used, and I actually found a worn tube or two. The one strange thing I found, is that It doesn't test KT77's very well with the KT77 setting, which sucks cuz I love KT77s...

I get amazing crystal cleans using an EMG 81-x in the bridge position of my main guitars. Not sure why anyone uses the regular 81 anymore. The 81-x makes it obsolete

If it's not an EMG X Series, you are wasting your time. I just bought a guitar with a standard EMG 81 in the bridge position. Sounded OK. Swapped it for an EMG 81-x, and it sounds AMAZING. I have the X series in all my main guitars' bridge position. The 81-x makes the standard 81 obsolete.

I have the Stealth 50 and the 5150 III 100W, and the Blue Channel on Full Gain on my 100W is my favorite channel. I love and use the Red Channel on 11pm, but the Blue Channel just sounds so rich and full.

Me too. I want to try all of the available heads out there. Know their similarities and differences. I've got a VH4, but I want a VH2 as well. Ever since you said, CH3 of the VH2 is the best Diezel CH ever, I have been tracking used VH2's.
