Was that why you chose to lash out? He mentioned Annihilator, and I know that Jeff Waters has played H&K amps before.
I haven't said a mean word against you in any thread.
Way to go, Larry. I made one post here, in response to another, who mentioned a well known player, and his good sound. At...
But what is impeccable taste? :) Since it is so subjective?
A taste that is similar to our own? Or the appreciation of a job well done, even if you don't like the style/genre etc? Your second paragraph makes me think that's the case :)
"pristine condition relative to its original production state"
Most of my gear it beat up, and I really don't care about anything but the technical state of it. I like cabs that look like they've been on the road. But I also believe most people would interpret "mint", as in "how it left the...
Seems like there's a misunderstanding in the meaning of "mint", if that words was used..?
"Mint condition is an expression used to denote the quality of a pre-owned good as displaying virtually no imperfections and being in pristine condition relative to its original production state...
I have an Allparts body attached to a Warmoth neck :D And it's my number one. I have other good guitars, but it's so comfortable. The neck is a solid rosewood neck with an ebony board, and it's smoooooooooth.
That is my concern as well. It must be a SICK overhead on that guitar. A good guitar is a good guitar, but the production cost has to be taken into consideration. Indo made guitars can be nice, and shit.
I've had both.
THE most comfortable guitar I've owned, was an Ibanez JS-1, the first Japan made Satriani signature.
He really isn't a hero of mine at all :) I like him, but I don't idolize him.
Sadly it got traded for a Carvin 7-string, because that was what I wanted at the time. I regret that. It would still...
I can understand why he would want to tour with new amps, that can be serviced all over the world, and replaced if need be :) His Mesas and Marshalls are closing in on 40(?) years.
Also when travelling overseas. and having an amp ready, that sounds just like the one at home must be tempting...
Put some masking tape on the wires, and mark them with + and - before you remove them from the original speaker. That way, it's pretty foolproof to put in the new. Do one at the time.
Cool stuff! It was the first QR song I heard. And they're definitely not your run of the mill-shred-band.
I agree that losing DeGarmo was losing a key player in the band. He was the best songwriter, sang backup like nobody else etc.. It's another band now, for sure.
TBH, I think it's great that they don't release another "one million amps and effects"-unit.
There are plenty of those already.
Fender also made a digital "Twin" and "Deluxe", where they put all the DSP into one amp model, and the reverb of said amp. Most pros get by with three models, and a...
Wot? Do you work at a gladiator factory? Or in the CIA?
So many questions. The first is why there's a pool cue at your job.
That being said, I only have one guitar that I got new, and it's still mint because I only play it on the couch :D They are made to be played. I'd probably never buy a...
It's so expensive, that you really need to own a sound company to own one..
Once upon a time, I played in a Metallica tribute band. Our sound engineer had read the Big Mick used the Audio Technica AE2500 on Hetfield's cab. He decided to mic us with that one.
It's a dual element mic, one...
