Well guys, this is the only video I have of my weekend. I know neither the song, nor the guitar playing are traditional RT-approved rock stuff (haha), but I figured what the hell.
Here's me singing "I Don't Wanna Be" by Gavin DeGraw. Still only my 2nd or 3rd time using IEM's for vocals -...
Yeah man, Henry is just a consummate professional. He still takes his job as a vocalist really seriously - eats right, works out, drinks minimally. Terrific frontman, and looks about 10 years younger than he really is, if not more. a
Here's the thing: most guitarists here would roll their eyes...
I love, love, love the Mobius + Timeline combination. For anyone who wants as many top notch tones in as little space as possible, this is the only way to go.
I'm only scratching the surface, but I have my Mobius set for:
Chorus
Leslie
Phaser
Flanger
80's Multi Chorus
Tremolo
And my timeline...
So I finally, finally, FINALLY completed my new Trailer Trash pedalboard. I figured I'd share with you all here.
Details: 12x24". Signal chain is pretty self explanatory. The only really unique features are: The board is quasi-modular. The setup you see here is for grab and go gigs (plugging...
Mark, great interview. As Greg said, a player interviewing a player is great. Much better than those interviews where someone asks "What does the blue box do?" haha.
Justin is definitely one of my Top 5 favorite guitarists right now. Just a perfect combination of "shreddy" technique, off the...
The real question is, who the f*ck played that stinker of a solo on the new Bon Jovi single?
That solo alone is evidence that Sambora is still drinking pretty hard.
After hearing Pete Thorn's demo on the Origin Effects Cali76 Compressor, which is Transformer based as well, I'm convinced that it's NOT a bunch of phooey. Transformers make a huge difference in amps, as well as effects.
If they're anything like the Blue and the Red, I bet these pedals will not...
Which is exactly what we did! :D
I actually talked to the dude afterwards, and he's a really nice guy. But in that moment, I was like "OK, lets put the house band to shame here..."
The last open Mic night I did, I had about 3 minutes to set up, while the house guitar player hovered over me, heckling every member of my band.
"Look at this guy, his pedal board is pretty. No Boss pedals, only the finest for this gentleman right here!!!"
You know, whether it be graphite or not, changing saddles on my guitars has always resulted in different/better tone.
Upgrading from soft steel to the Raw Vintage saddles on my strat made it come alive and made it sound beefier. Same with using billet brass milled Rutters saddles on my Tele...
"Tim Shaw humbuckers" were basically Gibson's first attempt at a re-creation of a vintage PAF. Tim Shaw was the engineer in charge of designing them. Some details they got right, others they didn't (example: he wanted to use a certain kind of wire, and Gibson said "no" because of budget...
This is hands down my favorite Luxxtone I've ever seen. Color, design, grain, and even the heavy knurl knob just scream badass american guitar.
Love it. nice work!
i'm going to take a WILD guess at this one:
...my GUESS is that somewhere along the line, a price was mis-quoted. And now the builder realizes that seeing your project through to completion is going to cost him time and money, and any sense of profit is gone.
He's trying to finish your...
I'm still trying to figure that out! haha.
I'll tell you this - the taper/sweep of the excursion knob doesn't feel that even. Seems to come on very fast at the end of the travel. Makes me think that "noon" may not really be the 50% mark.
