Thanks for all the recommendations! I'm searching up a good amount of them right now. However, the one thing that always got me about ibanez was the "tin" sound on the high strings. Does anybody else notice this? Does it differ with 7 strings?
Seven string players, what do you use? What is your seven string of choice? As I've become more interested in the tonal ranges of seven strings, I wanted to get more insight from my rig-talkers!
Let's hear 'em!
I feel like meeting any of them would be an amazing experience. Paul has always come off to me as a down-to-earth guy. He always seems so nice, and appears to be one of those people you can just have a good respectable conversation with. I bet it was awesome meeting him! Not to mention Timmons!
I have a little bit of concern as to whether the Ceramic nailbomb in the bridge with make my SE Cu24 too bright or "middy" or if the alnico V would be too dark.
  Was thinking the same thing
and now the Cold Sweat is sounding damn good too.. Tough choice between a ceramic nailbomb and a Cold Sweat for the bridge
Agreed. Sometimes I rather listen to older metal and rock, simply because a lot of music nowadays sounds way too digital, if you get what I mean. Almost too perfect, too catchy, and too well mixed. almost robotic, but there are some records I do like that are fairly new, but a lot that I don't.
I used to be really big into them. I have the first four albums. And I think I have Year Of The Black Rainbow too. For me, it was always hard trying to decide a favorite album. I had it narrowed down to Second Stage Turbine Blade, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, and The Willing Well...
I have a SE custom 24 and I love it. Feels good and it plays well so I am satisfied. But I do want to get my hands on an actual custom 24 at some point :D
Sounds SOOO badass
I'm not going to lie, I did like Howard's vocal ability. To me, he did have a good singing voice for the time, but I did miss Jesse. And he is sounding GREAT
So far I like what I hear, and I can't wait to hear more. I didn't expect the Viper though, I...
I agree with that. The logo is unattractive, but I am interested to hear how it sounds. I've played some schecter guitars but never owned one, and I have played some good and some bad. Just have to wait and see if the amps are going to be worth the buck.
