    Marshall JCM800 bass cab?

Some of them really are deeper. At some point they made JCM800 legit bass amps and I think that's when the cabs got deeper. Before that point, "bass" amp and cabs were intended to be darker than the guitar counterparts (bright caps and speaker cones) but where largely the same otherwise.

Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

Yeah you can set up a preset with two amps, one off and one on. Then set them to the same footswitch and when you step on the switch, it instantly toggles them. Obviously some limitations if you want to switch to a clean with heavy reverb and delay to a dry boosted high gain sound, but there...

Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

I was a bit surprised by the drop out. I can see it being a deal breaker for some. I'll try to set up one preset with two amps and see if it can toggle between them faster that way.

Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

You can just switch between presets and it doesn't seem to care what's in the presets (clean or dirty), but there's a drop out for a moment as you switch, and it seems quick from capture to capture but is noticeably longer going from a capture to the JP2C model (as just an example). There may...

Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

So fwiw after a few hours with the QC it's pretty damn awesome. Having made some profiles, to me the profiling is much more accurate than the Kemper and while some of the models seem to suck (Rectifiers) some of them seem pretty damn good (JP2C channels). I'm not a heavy FX user so I can't...

That would be even weirder than some of the stuff Kemper does but we'll find out haha.

Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

I'm hoping for something that can just run profiles/captures of my amps but in a smaller box that I can switch between the profiles and add minimal delay/reverb. The Kemper sounds good but has some head scratching behaviors; curious what the QC will do.

Quad Cortex Scam from a member?

I can't help with the refund issue but I have a Kemper and should receive a QC tomorrow and can let you know what I think. I've had the AFXIII but that was a few years ago.

    6505 low level squealing

I think I had this with a 5152. It was a preamp tube.

Ichika Nito's Latest Live Playthrough is Sumpin' Else

I liked it. Not normally a fan of the genre but the vid in the OP was cool enough to me that I actually watched the whole thing.

That headstock might be even worse than their normal one.

    PAFs and High Gain...

I have some guitars with Seth Lovers (unpotted) and they only seem to squeal if I'm right next to the amp. As long as you can stand away from several feet, it's not been an issue.

Mesa Mark VII IIC vs JP2C High Gain

Both sound cool! I agree with others that the second clip sounded more like what I'd expect from a Mark amp

    PAFs and High Gain...

If you don't mind me adding a clip; I was messing around recoding a Kemper profile of my Marshall 2204 I'd made. Tokai LPC with their PAF type pickups. Boosted with a CAE Line Driver into an OD808.

Your Opinion on Holy Grail Modern Metal Tone(s)

I dunno. It just sounds right. It has a voice to me. Higher gain amps sort of almost sound just like a wall of static or white noise that changes pitch with the note.

Your Opinion on Holy Grail Modern Metal Tone(s)

not sure how representative I am, but I've owned OG C+ DRG, an 80s SLO, several VH4s including an OG blue face, all the Recto versions except D, Bogner mods, etc. My fav amp of all time easily is a Marshall 2204.

Mark IIC+ Reissue vs. OG 1983 IIC+ DRGX: The Ultimate A/B Blind Comparison

How many other amps might have oscillation out of our hearing range? Maybe the OG C+ does too? We have no idea because we can't hear it. Not sure I'd worry about this.

Reverb has revealed its best-selling pedals of 2024 – and it seems we have a winner in this year’s amp modeler race

Ibanez Rules probably has the most comprehensive Floyd guide. My best tip is to pull a spring and shove a stack of index cards behind the block to fix it level while tuning up and shimming the saddles.

Same 2204 hi input profile, but with an SD-1 set a bit brighter

Man I thought his playing just got better and better. I loved the Controlled Denied stuff too.
