    How hot is too hot?

My VH2 has the factory JJ KT77 quad and factory bias. The amp runs much hotter than e.g. Revv Generator 120 (4x6L6) in similar moderate load conditions. Also VH4 and Hagen had quite noticeable heat dissipation with factory tubes and bias. I play at home, so the heat is easily noticed.

    Diezel D-Moll versatility

Sorry, VH2 is the only Diezel inhouse at the moment. Luckily he has some friends: Revv G120 and 2 Custom Bluetone heads. Please throw a message when visiting Finland

    Diezel D-Moll versatility

Having had D-Moll, VH4, Hagen and currently VH2, my thumbs are clearly for VH2. It is simple, yet versatile. "Modernization" did not ruin it at all, it can do the old tricks and new ones as well, roar included :) I'm also waiting the updates on Diezel lunchbox. As a bedroom player, the watts...

VH4 and 7 different Les Pauls

Nice comparison, beautiful guitars and fantastic sound ?

    Herbert MK2 MV1 & MV2

MV2 sound has slightly higher upper mids and some small reduction in lower mids compared to MV1. Difference is noticeable and good to my ear  Definitely the sound is NOT thin, it's still the trademark growl.

    Herbert MK2 MV1 & MV2

I found similar MV difference on my VH2, where MV2 sounds different in mids. I asked Diezel about this and they answered that it might originate from some component tolerances etc. I really like this, since it gives me more tonal options :-)

    Pink Floyd through a VH4?

Maybe I need new glasses, my bad :-)

    Pink Floyd through a VH4?

The last 2 chords sound like VH4, the other playing is more filled with effect. BTW, why the VH4 is OFF (at least seems to be) in the video?

    So I bought a Hagen

Herr Hagen came and went back, not for me  For cleans its equally superior as VH2/4 channel 1.For low gain crunch its close to VH2, especially when dialed from VH2.ch2. For high gain distortions, hmm, this was the first priority for me with high expectations. Hagen has thinner (maybe...

    Einstein v VH2 v VH4

I had first VH4 and now I have VH2. For the "VH4.ch3 sound" the VH2.ch2 is better in my opinion. It has really similar tonal characteristics but wider gain range. Also the loop in VH2 sounds more transparent.

    So I bought a Hagen

Hi all, I just placed my order for Hagen (with EL34) from Musik Produktiv. I have already VH2 and wanted to expand my Diezel sound palette. Herbert MK III was the other candidate and would have been fantastic amp, maybe my 'next next' D will be Herbert :-)

    Lil Fokker, VH2, other?

I can only say some experiences of my VH2 and late VH4. VH2 is really simple and flexible amp. CH1 goes from perfect clean to soft crunch with wide range gain control. Tonal details are easy to dial with the tone stack. Similarly, the CH2 fulfils the heavy crunch and massive distortion with...

    Diezel serial numbers

Thank's for the info, eventhough the numbering logic is not so straightforward :)

    Incoming VH4

Good to know. In my case, the noise was coming from components (in standby and in operation similarly, with/without cabinet and with dummy load), so the trimmers may not help on this. Nevertheless, I really hope different performance from the incoming VH2 :)

    Incoming VH4

Actually the "incoming VH4" changed to "outcoming VH4": the mains hum was not ok for what I have used to have with premium amps. The other two heads are dead silent on same situation, maybe this VH4 had some component issue? I also found that I only need the 3rd channel and power amp controls...

    Diezel serial numbers

Interesting; I bought just "brand new" VH4 from Thomann in May 2019. The serial number starts with 14, so the amp has been manufactured in 2014? Maybe this is New Old Stock :D

Reactive load + IR for Diezel Herbert?

Electric circuit configuration and user experience are different things and should not be mixed :-) Reactive loads have inductance, capacitance and resistance mixed together. The first two define pretty much the frequency response, while the third is needed to dissipate real power. Depending...

Reactive load + IR for Diezel Herbert?

Not truly reactive ?? Some facts and also definition for 'true' pleae.... I have Torpedo LIVE and Bluetone Loadbox, which both are reactive loads and load amplifier similarly.

Reactive load + IR for Diezel Herbert?

Two Notes Torpedo LIVE is the best what I have used. Its power capacity is only 100W, so keep Herbert's Master low enough. Fortunately, there is no need to run these higain monsters at full master volume, since it does not improve the sound quality.

    Incoming VH4

Today the VH4 beast finally arrived  https://muusikoiden.net/dyn/users/161512.jpg The sound is exactly the one I wanted and the built quality is flawless as expected. Head works nicely with my 1x12" cabinet and Two Notes Torpedo LIVE. Only remark is the mains transformer stand-by hum...
