My D-Moll also has the dual trim pots. It's a bit of a balancing act to hit target bias. You may need to bring down 2 and 3 to a bit below what you want then raise 1 and 4 to target.

All kidding aside, hope amp sounds great. Great features.
I use a Weber Bias Rite to bias my amp so the tubes sit too high to balance amp on transformers. I probably would feel too nervous about that anyway.
So, I was going to bias up today and thought I would use this combo stand I happened to have. Worked out great. I do have to crouch down to get...
I'm using a G-Flex 212 with Eminence EM12 speakers. Sounds great to me.
With these fairly neutral speakers I like the majority of profiles I use with cab sims on and some profiles with cabs turned off. With the V30's it was cabs off all the time and most high gain profiles sounded very, very...

5. Unused with...
Kemper user here and never played an AXE-FX but, this is my experience with playing through cab.
Originally after getting a Kemper Powerhead, I was a bit frustrated with my high gain tones through my guitar cabs.
It seemed all high gain profiles sounded the same with only differences being eq...
When I started playing, I bought a GFTPM magazine with Hetfield and Hammett interview and Hetfield said he used green Tortex. So, I used those for years. Moved up to blue Totex a couple years ago and see no reason to change.
Regarding floating baffle:
I have a VHT D412 cab and wanted the low end to be tighter. I know, it's VHT so it must be uber-tight. Kinda tight but, not tight enough for me anyway.
Looking inside I see there is no center post for baffle. I always heard the Fat Bottom was tighter. I suspect this...
I am considering purchasing a quad of EL34 to try in my D-Moll.
I am looking for a sharper attack and more aggressive mid character. Sometimes I feel things are a bit too smooth.
Would EL34 tubes do this for me?
Can they handle the D-Moll plate voltage? 480 as I recall from last bias...
