Thanks. Thats a nice looking AC10. I think I'm drawn more to the AC15 to the AC10, the obsession with the AC10 was the $300 fb marketplace price tag. How is the 4 watt handwired though? I've not ever played the 4 watt version of anything.

I think you understood correctly. I want something solid I can mod and play and maintain. I think handwired is the best option for me. I might just smag an ac10 if I can. There are 8 on FB marketplace, and I'll try to snag one in a trade.

Clean the effects loops jacks with Deoxit. I have fixed a couple of crate / ampeg amps just with that. Heat and corrosion. Actually clean all of the jacks/pots/switches/sockets while you are at it. You could have a cold solder joint that is breaking contact at operating temperature. That's an...

It's a perfectly good sounding rock / hard rock amp. Once that issue is fixed it's fine. And will be fine for a while. Clearly that tech does not want to work on it. It's something that if you were motivated and could solder decently you would be fine going through the repair.

I miss mine, but I traded it to Octavio of Underoath a few years ago for my current K-Tre. I really would like another one at some point in time. The Krank '+' aren't bad. The non '+' I had I could not tolerate no matter what eq tubes, pedals, etc.
