I’m not sure if it’s the same model (I think it is) but the new epiphones at my local have an RRP of $3299, on sale for $2639. Heritage h150s are around $2700 on sale at the same store let that sink in.

Our recordings were out of tune. Intonation was the main issue. Strings, tuner etc were minor.
I don’t get the harm in saying let’s try EQ both amps differently so they sit in the mix better.

2. He played a lot of lines up high, and as I mentioned he was half a step out by the 12th fret.
3. We’re talking about making a record and playing live, is he going to pull out his phone mid set? IME phone tuner hasn’t worked for me but...
cbf going through the examples but it was noticed, not much said because it was a casual thing first 6 months, cover band meeting once a week for fun that didn’t end up gigging. Him and I were together the last 6 months with new goals so things became a bit more serious requiring more attention...
I’m curious if anybody has experience with this in a recording studio space. If you rock up with a beat up instrument in that condition do they call you a donut and send you back out the door or will they actually record?
I get it. I’m lucky in the fact that I got to work with a luthier for a short while so I know the importance of this stuff. I have friends who have played everyday for 20+ years who still don’t know how to string a guitar properly.
I’ve been as gentle as I can be, even offering the luthiers...
Thanks for the comments turns out I’m not going crazy. The fact that something so simple was blown up like this had me doubting myself.
Another thing I’ll add is that his output jack has been cooked the whole year, every time we jam his bass will cut out at least once.
