Im no EVH thats for sure!!!i love his tone and the way he plays,i figure i can get very close to the tone and can learn some of his playing syle.

Thanks guys!!!I hear the new EVH wolfgang pickup sounds better than the old wolfgang pickup,but I haven't tried one yet.I like the paf type pickups better with the plexi,but prefer the EVH frankenstein pickup with higher gain amps like the soldano slo or the 5153...

i think the the EVH frankenstein pickup is more voiced for his modern high gain amp to get his classic sound.i get a closer sound with the motorcity 2nd degree black belt..here it is recorded with a sure sm57 and not a crappy video camera mic that seems to suck some mids...

I built a copy of the richter attenuator for about $150,it sounds way better than the thd hotplate and weber mass I tried!!!
