Im thinking about picking one of these up to use as a "always on" boost. Im hoping it will give me some extra ummmphh and sparkle and push channel 2 in my renegade to some higher gain territory. Anyone familiar with it? Thoughts?

If i went the Preamp route what preamp tubes you think i should put in what position? ex.. V1, V2 etc.... I may have 1 Hi Gain JJ preamp tube laying around.

I've heard mixed reviews on the OCD. I really just wanting to get a higher gain rhythm channel. I love what it already does just wanting to push the gain into a higher gain territory for some "heavier" tunes (not really metal tones though).

So what do you boys suggest on doing to maybe pushing the Renegade into a little higher gain without loosing its punch and character? Tubes?? Pedals??? Lets hear it???? :thumbsup: :rock:

Would you buy the BB over the Zves Box of Rock?

I have been hearing about this BB Preamp. I already have a tubescreamer. Is it similar? Im wanting something to push the Renegade into a little bit higher gain territory. Will the BB do this? What characteristics does it have?

I was kind of looking for a different flavor to add to what i already have. I would probably run the BOR into the clean channel for a different type of overdrive. Im just wondering if the pedal would get lost in the mix if i use it with the clean and also use the gain channel on the renegade...

Has anyone used the Zvex Box of Rock with the Renegade? Just wanting to know what they thought and if they play well together. And also any other suggestions for a good pedal. Thanks!

I use the M9 for mostly Modulation, Pitch Shift, and some Drive/Fuzz effects. Im still trying to tweak alot of the M9 effects to get them to sound right. Havent had much time to lately. I do sometimes use the delay on the M9 just for a slapback effect (Brian Setzer style) but the Carbon Copy...
