Oh I think Marshall or whoever runs it these days is more concerned about profit, hence the crappy built quality & cost cutting that goes into their amps. Building amps in the sheer volume they do, it would be impossible to make them the same way as smaller builders...Suhr, Friedman Bogner...

UL, CL100, Sig:X Brilliant brilliant amps. Very unforgiving but stellar note clarity with tons of gain. They won't suit everyone but I certainly love mine. The P50 speakers are an important ingredient but I've found the UL & CL also work great with M75 Scumbacks :thumbsup:

This is a sore subject for me too. Returned my amp to him to fix noise issues. That was in 2011 & still haven't got it back. Promises of him working on it, being fixed & returned to me have amounted to nothing :thumbsdown:

They're essentially the same amp except the CLX has a dedicated clean channel. Oh, my vote is for VHT. XTC/VHT pairing for the win, both amps have their own sonic qualities that won't step on the other. Bogner's chewy low mids, VHT's tight aggressive roar. Together they sound monsterous :rock:

Yeah, a local tech made up a simple lineout box so i was able to run a w/d or w/d/w set up. Worked extremely well, its almost impossible to go back to a single cab after hearing the sonic hugeness of w/d/w :lol: :LOL:
