VHT Sig:X, Hands down the most versitile amp I've owned & can think of. 3 footswitchable & boostable channels, power shift 40/100w on all 3, tonal modes plus a killer effects loop. Hell, about the only thing it doesn't have is midi....which doesn't even bother me.

Sounds cool :yes: One thing I've noticed on a couple of his clips is that when he hits an A chord, the notes seem to mush together. Do you find that?

I'm currently waiting on a MAK4 & got a VHT 2/50/2. For the most part I'm pretty much an EL34 guy & will probably live on the crunch & makoplex channels the most. This talk of power sections for makoplex/dorado channels is quite interesting tho. I had a thought of somehow running the...

Guytron FV100 owner here :) Stumbled onto these purely by accident. Went to Makin Music to get a tasty PRS, the guy asked me what I play thru, I telll him a Jube, he plugs me into the Guytron. As cool as the PRS was, I found myself reeeeeally wanting the Guytron but didn't have the scratch...

With keeping your budget in mind, i'd hunt down a VHT 50CL & slam it with a good boost pedal like an OCD. Although technically no "clean" channel to speak of. I use the green channel for dirt & red channel for very passable cleans :rock:

Can't stant Floyds, too much hassle :bleh: String thru body or wrap around anyday :yes:
