I thought the paddle of a headstock was a bit big when I used to look at Vigier 7 strings. But when I got one, I swear it gives better tone. Yngwie says the same about oversized 70s strat headstocks. That and non locking nut, which the Vigier also has. Man I’m depressed they are shutting down.
