So I gather that the 2011 and up are brighter, with more gain and bottom end as compaired to the 2009 version? I think that would all be relative to tubes and the way one one likes to dial their amps in. I also heard that the newer versions have less compression. I wonder which model year...

I guess with the 50/50 stereo, there are more variables that contribute to the feel of the amp. A lot to consider.

I had a Mark V for a bit. Not bad but finicky to dial in, and a pain in the ass to get to the preamp tubes without removing the chassis. Horrible design in that respect in my opinion
