I did a Helldivers 2 themed riff challenge the other day. One of my coworkers asked if I could get a St Anger ish snare tone and some semi scooped guitar so decided to see how that sounded.
Chain is Orville LPC with bk mules -> Fortin TS9 -> Syn1 + Herbert -> PS100 -> neves RNDI box -> bogner...
I've never actually listened to this era Van Halen live with Wolfie on bass. That was pretty cool, I like what little things he was adding and while he can definitely harmonize with his dad singing back vocals, its weird to not hear Michael Anthony's distinct classic back vocals singing those parts.
Sounds great dude. I've messed with NAM quite a bit but never actually tried capturing for it. Is there a quick n easy reference for making NAM captures?
This guy... not just because he has a cool custom head on his bass drum, his right hand is quick and playing it more accurate... in my opinion at least.
Always thought this was such a cool song. Mustaine must have been a fan cause I can hear little things that sound very Mustaine / Wake Up Dead. Also that bass dude can fkn sing man ?
Right? I originally bought it as a di for clean tracking and or amp sims but had to try the speaker thru thing and ended up really liking how it sounded. There is nothing wrong with the PS100 for direct recording but I neves rndi just brings a different flavor.
Thanks guys! Btw I've been messing around with using a RNDI box to capture between the amp and a Fryette PS100. It seems to have more of a fuller sound to me, but I've never actually compared it directly to just using the line out of a loadbox. Quick diagram below for anyone curious.
So Endtime from the guitargearforum recommended checking out the latest GGD cab plugin Contenders. I saw it on sale and was like.. ah fak, I already got 5 billion other IRS and cab sims, why not check out another.
I got to say, I really dig'em. I've been pretty content using York Audio bogner...
