Saw Pat three or four times in concert. The best being at My Father‘s Place New York in January 1978. It was Tommy Aldridge’s first show with the band, and it was being simulcast by WLIR FM. Saw him open for Rainbow too, around 1981.

I did get to see Ozzy with Black Sabbath at the Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, New York, in 1978. Van Halen opened for Black Sabbath. My favorite Ozzy, besides the early Sabbath stuff, was the Speak Of The Devil album, live with Brad Gillis. I always loved that album.

It hurts, but God bless him. It was the perfect curtain call for a decades long career.
