With every preamp tube but the PI out, it hums. With the PI out and every other tube in, it's dead silent. I'm guessing it has to be something to do with the PI area?

Nope. Basically the only way I can get it to stop is to remove the PI tube. I've tried every other preamp tube out of the circuit, as well as all of them out at once. No luck.

I'm about to buy a used V30 and it looks like the magnet is bigger than the one I already own. Did some googling and they seem to vary. At least I presume the circular part on the back is the magnet? What gives? Is it just the angle? Are there different sizes? Do they sound different? Example:

To me it has the same "harmonic content" as the other Bogner amps. I own a Shiva and can hear a similar type thing though it obviously has more upper mids and highs to sound more similar to an old Marshall.

Interesting how some guys hear that demo as thin. Buzzy, maybe I get what you're hearing but thin? Not for me.
