I went all in on Synergy gear a couple years ago, but just finished selling it all off. The tones and feel are excellent no doubt. At one point I had 10 modules and they just all sounded so similar that I started selling them off one by one. It was a genuine lesson in how much the power amp...
Chris is a great and honest seller. The pedal was priced fairly, communication was reliable, and shipping was fast. Received exactly as described. Cheers!
I was curious so I checked out a bunch of past listings on Reverb for 2150's. FYI you can look up all the past listings for a specific product by searching for the product and then adding the following clause on to the end of the url: &showsold=true
So I typed this into my browser's bar...
I have a Classic XXX and 2150, and agree that the voicing switch is wonderful. Instantly toggle between warmer, rounder mids with slightly rolled off highs or a more aggressive tone with beefier lows and highs. Then fine tune everything with the ultra responsive presence and depth knobs.
The...
Meh, I've owned a number of gates as well and to me the change in tone has always been pretty subtle. To me it's not really sucking tone, just altering it slightly and it's pretty fucking easy to add back in what you want like Techdeth said. The Zuul+ is badass, as is the Revv G8.
I feel like a broken record, but I had a successful claim paid out after self packing and using the third party insurance through Pirate Ship. Based on your advice I will never ship without a third party insurer, but it does seem like the two options for the best peace of mind are: either have...
Yeah I posted about a successful claim filed through Pirateship here: https://www.rig-talk.com/forum/threads/a-true-test-for-pirate-ship-and-ups-claim-paid.280619/
I don't even bother with Reverb safe shipping now, after reading some bad reviews.
Sorry to see this man. I recently shipped a $3k Schecter inside a hard case inside a padded guitar box. Case arrived smashed as well as the guitar, but I was able to file a claim successfully. As others have said, you'll have to issue a refund and pray it returns with no further damage.
You...
All I know is...I just received my Alta 100 from Jason, featuring Heyboer transformers. This amplifier is absolutely incredible, I'm basically speechless. If anyone is gonna call Marshall out on these antics it should be him.
And is Marshall still relevant? The name, always. New products? Not...
I owned this exact guitar a few years ago. Overall a nice guitar with some caveats - it's a 24.75" guitar with 24 frets. Everything just felt cramped. The guitar did not balance very well, even when standing and wearing it with a strap. The frets needed polishing right from the get go, and I had...
I had the same experience with the Empress. I've also owned the Boss EQ-200 and sold that one fast. A/B'ed with the MXR 10-band and it just lacked the warmth...way too sterile like the Empress. I also own an Analogman modded GE-6 and it sounds excellent. Between that and the MXR I'm all set...
I also lower 240hz on my Marks similar to how yours is set for in-the-room tones. I've tried the classic V and it always sounds too muddy and congested. Recorded it will really depend on a number of factors but I'll run mine a bit higher.
SOLD
Up for sale is my FX8 Mark II in excellent condition. I've absolutely loved this unit, and have used it strictly in 4CM with my tube amps. It has zero tone suck, and is at the top of its class in this regard. It also has relay switching which you will not find on the more recent modelers...
Another thumbs up for the Herbie. I have a Mark III and it's turned into one of my all time favorite amps. It's definitely mid heavy but like @VESmedic I've found scooping mids with an EQ in the loop is far superior to the mid cut feature. Channel 2+, add a boost of your choice and it's just a...
